Growth is the purpose of all existence. All experiences, all actions, regardless of their outcome, facilitate growth, even if they outwardly appear otherwise. This is how soul learns and grows. Like spiritual alchemy and invention, growth, when viewed through the lens of soul, is an endless process of expansion, experimentation, of trial and error and subtle course corrections. There are no mistakes, no accidents, and no coincidences. We seekers of the higher truth, in search of the illusive answers to the eternal questions, call out to the universe or to some concept of our Creator asking, “Who am I?”, “Why am I?”, and “Where do I come from?”.

For lifetimes, we have fruitlessly sought these answers outwardly, relentless...

Like a flowing river, our lives, in this world are fluid and ever-changing in each moment, never again occupying the same space or time. Our outer lives try to keep up with the dizzying pace of our inner lives, quickly reflecting and manifesting back our thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, expectations and often our misconceptions. The negative world spins a grand illusion in a confusing effort to make us believe that we have no control, that we are just sticks in the river cascading down the rapids towards an abyss, an effect of life, rather than the master navigator.

While it is true, as a collective group, we live in tumultuous times of change rushing towards an unknown destination, as individuals, we can learn to adjust an...

From the pull of the full moon, to the flowering of a plant, to our own physical lifespan, everything that ‘is’ has a rhythm, a season, and a cycle. Life dictates that there will be times of great growth, as well as necessary periods of stillness and retrograde. We need only relax, breathe, and tune into the natural rhythm of these cycles to learn to dance gracefully between the spinning gears of life. The key to a long, happy, and prosperous life is learning to trust our inner guidance as to when to push forward, when to yield or even retreat.

While speeding through a yellow traffic light, which turns red as we cross the road, may be appropriate on occasion when guided inwardly to do so, to do so every time as a standar...

Why are we here if not to find ourselves, to discover our passions and to live a life of purpose meaningful to ourselves. If we have lived and patterned our lives by the expectations, desires and wishes of what other people want for us, then we have not been true to ourselves or our potential. Finding our purpose is not a secret profound or illusive mystery. We need look no further then to those creative, constructive, and uplifting endeavors that we enjoy doing.

If we have an interest, talent, or a passion, which we have neglected or abandoned in the past because it was considered ‘impractical or unrealistic’, know that is never too late. If we have let negative, controlling, discouraging and fearful people crush our dr...

Detachment is a very misunderstood concept. Some associate the word with being unfeeling or indifferent to the suffering of others. Nothing could be further from the truth. It is only because of our unconditional love for life that we allow others the freedom to make their own choices, as well as experience the effects of those choices without our interference or judgement. Detachment does not negate empathy. It just means that we will not allow people or situations to throw us out of balance, draw us in, or overwhelm us.

So how can one remain in a positive spiritual state of detachment amid times of chaos? This is certainly no easy task. We are all works in progress and learning to operate from a calm and graceful cen...

We have always been and will always be, on a timeless journey to be as wise as a tree. Do we not reach for the sky to get close to the sun, to spread our limbs in heaven and set strong roots in the ground? While we were once small seemingly unimportant seeds, now we have grown into something magnificent indeed! When we look in the mirror, what do we see?

Beyond the wrinkles and imperfections that come with age, resides Soul. Whether we are a tree, a dog or a human, Soul is who we are. We occupy the physical body as a driver occupies a vehicle. The physical form we now ride in and identify with is a temporary, imperfect, though magnificent vehicle to gather experiences and life lessons for Soul’s journey. When the body we...

Why is easier to forgive and show empathy towards strangers than towards ourselves, to see the talents, gifts and beauty in others, but only see worthlessness and ugliness in ourselves? Are we not all the Creator’s children? Are we not as worthy of love and consideration? Do we not possess unique divine gifts and abilities too? While the answers to these questions should be obvious, in order to recognize our true selves, we first must begin to claw our way past all the inner clutter and emotional baggage we have allowed to accumulate around us.

Through lifetimes of absorbing the negative messaging of other Souls who don’t have our best interest at heart and who have been dumping their own garbage on us in order to feel b...

A wise man said that Heaven is not so much a place, as a state of consciousness. I find this to be very true. Two people can have very similar lives, living in similar conditions and circumstances, one person feels like the most blessed person in the world, while the other always complaining about how awful their life is. What is the difference? We are. Whether we are aware of it or not, life will always live up to our intentions, our level of acceptance and appreciation and most of all our expectations. Whether we are serene and positive or chaotic and negative, our lives will reflect exactly what we have believed, imagined, and allowed them to be inwardly.

Life can certainly be complicated and challenging. While negati...

When we have love in our heart, when we are appreciative towards ourselves and others, when we are giving life our very best, know that we are being utilized by the Creator as channels for pure positive energy to flow through us. By allowing the universe to utilize us this way, we will find that destructive negative energy will not so easily back up into us. When love radiates through our very being, we will maintain a peaceful center and our lives and circumstances will be guided and protected. Our lives may never be perfect. We will still have our challenges and dark moments of grief and sadness, but we will not be alone, and we will have the wisdom and understanding to realize that these experiences are for our benef...

What is success? If one were to ask around, there would probably be as many different answers to that question as people asked. Some will say a Ferrari in the driveway and a million dollars in the bank. For others, success is simply how happy someone is. From a higher vantage point of Soul, material possessions amassed and hoarded during this life certainly do not equate to success. Some of the wealthiest people on the planet are by far the loneliest and saddest, while some of the poorest people and cultures are found to be the happiest.

It is not surprising that the happiest people are also the most grateful. They recognize that each moment is a precious gift. Our individual definition and view of success will depend ma...
